Information about the Certification
Aviation Basics is designed specifically for those with minimal or no aviation experience and focuses on building mechanical aptitude in basic maintenance operations. This 9 week training program covers the foundation knowledge and skill needed to obtain an entry-level position in the aviation maintenance or manufacturing industries. The program addresses basic knowledge and skills in Safety and Tool Usage, Human Factors, Technical Data, FOD, Flight Control Systems, Materials and Hardware, Electrical and more. A no-cost online Math course is a pre-requisite to registering for the program. Successful completion of the program including a written and practical exam will provide a credential in Aviation Basics.
